helping to recruit new volunteers

volunteers

Careforce serves evangelical churches and organisations by finding Christian volunteers aged 17 to 30 from Britain and around the world and placing them in the UK where help is most needed.

Our great need is for more British Christians to join our team in September. We are very keen to get word out and about in schools, colleges, universities, Christian Unions, camps and houseparties, youth and student congregations – anywhere where there are those aged 17 to 30 who might be considering taking a gap year.

We believe that everyone thinking about taking a gap year should be given the challenge as to how God might wish them to spend that time. That might involve travel – within the UK! - and also it might involve serving those in need on their own doorstep.

Careforce volunteers are involved with local churches and Christian projects in urban, suburban or rural communities. They can spend most of their time in one or more of the following: children, youth and schools work; evangelistic outreach and discipleship groups; serving people who are homeless or who have drug/alcohol related problems; assisting those who have a physical disability or with learning disabilities; supporting families facing difficulty or the elderly. We believe we have something to interest most people prepared to serve God for a year. Any interests and giftings are put to good use and new ones nurtured.

Can you help spread the word about Careforce? Use the recruiting response form and ask us to post you brochures and flyers to pass out amongst your contacts. You can also request copies of our 25th Anniversary booklet – this sets out our history with contributions from volunteers and supervisors.
