There are two main ways that Careforce
can help churches and projects

1. By finding a Careforce volunteer to join you in your ministry
Careforce only places volunteers in active, outward looking churches where local resources are scarce and which are moving into their local communities in the name of Jesus Christ in loving service and relevant outreach. We also place volunteers in projects with clear Christian objectives which serve the vulnerable in society including, but not limited to: the homeless, the elderly, those with addiction or learning difficulties and physical disability and those with difficult family situations.

Careforce placements

Placements looking for us to recruit a Careforce volunteer to start in September 2008 should apply before February 28th 2008. Those wanting a volunteer to serve for a year from January 2009 should apply by August 31st 2008. These dates only apply for placement applications – volunteers can apply at any time!

2. By linking your own locally recruited volunteer into the Careforce support structures
Many churches and projects now recruit their own volunteers. Some have found that linking their volunteer into Careforce has been extremely helpful. Careforce can guide you through the practical matters relating to Criminal Record Checks/Child Protection/ the Minimum Wage/Weekly Timetables and many other important matters. We can provide you and your volunteer with an external reference point plus our full support throughout the year with staff visits, training conferences and enabling peer mentoring.
